When the right time, right place and right opportunity converge, something special is sure to follow. A little help from God works too! Such were the circumstances for Nick and Denise Wieand as they took ownership in managing OCS Printing of Marmora, and previously Ocean City, New Jersey in March 2010.
As residents of Upper Township, Cape May County by the “Shore”, Nick and his wife, Denise, bring a wide range of professional experience and expertise; Nick’s prior success in sales, operations and customer service and Denise, as a U.S. Army veteran, an executive across several U.S. companies and most recently as a former business consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers where she providing her expertise to many large retailers throughout the country in the areas of marketing, operations and business development. Nick wanted to focus his energy on a hometown business he could call his own to help support his family and community. “Taking over a business that had an established history and an excellent reputation across the local shore business communities was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up,” said Nick.
OCS Printing has undergone a transformation that has included a new name – Allegra. “It is our vision to be the leading value-added marketing communications provider in the area with a primary focus on small and mid-sized businesses,” Nick explained.
“Our plan is to maintain the core printing and bindery services that have been offered for 30 years and introduce more sophisticated marketing services, too. Things like development of a business’s brand, strategic marketing campaigns, expertise in graphic design, mail list sourcing, direct mail management and digital marketing options that will allow area businesses to reach new customers they might not even know exist.”
The Wieands continue to invest in new technologies and equipment to expand service offerings to include full color digital printing, graphic design services, complete finishing services, wide format printing that includes banners, exterior and interior signage, variable data capabilities, web design, print management solutions and marketing project consulting.
“Changes in the marketplace and seeing the expansion of the seasonal business community at the Shore have made more sophisticated marketing strategies a necessity for companies of all sizes,” said Denise. “For some organizations, accessing the talent and tools that they need can be cost-prohibitive. We are able to pass along numerous efficiencies in time and dollars by having full-service printing technologies, access to other services that reduce costs to our clients and provide very effective outcomes.”
We thank the Lord for this opportunity and pray that this will be a long-term adventure!
