How to Ensure Your Customer List Stays Engaged

How to Ensure Your Customer List Stays Engaged | Allegra

Let's Start A Conversation:

A good customer list is the best way to ensure that your target audience stays engaged with your business and brand. But how do you maintain a good customer list response rate? Here are some ideas to keep your product or service at the top of their minds – and encourage them to buy from you again and again!

Send Direct Mail Pieces – But Not Too Frequently

Sure, people like to hear from you, but they don’t want a direct mail piece in their mailboxes every day. It could be a major turnoff for them. Regular communication once or twice a month can keep you in mind as well as provide you with an opportunity to showcase your latest offerings or specials.

Always Provide Value

Sending a direct mail piece just because you can isn’t a good enough reason to do it. For one, it wastes money. For two, it might annoy your intended audience. Always consider the messaging and what the direct mail piece is offering your clients. Provide immediate value and the reason that you are contacting your customers. For example, an upcoming event or a special in-store offer would be a great reason.

Make the Mail Piece Enticing

The envelope or card should have your branding on it as well as any other images that could encourage the receiver to take an action. A letter that has a little weight to it is more likely to be opened than a simple folded letter.

Personalize the Content

No matter if you are mailing to a new audience or trying to get your current customers to buy again or return for more services, you need to personalize the messaging based on the audience. You would not send people without pets free dog treats, right? Of course not, it would be a waste of money and a turn-off for the receiver. Segment your audience and make sure that you are addressing their individual wants, needs and pain points.
