What Interior Sings Should I Have in My Business

Let's Start A Conversation:

Your interior building and office signs are just as important as your exterior ones. For one, it helps instill brand awareness. For another, it helps visitors feel more comfortable in your location because it’s obvious that it’s an open and existing business. Finally, it helps create a good first impression.

Overall, signage can influence how someone reacts to your office or retail location. So, having well-defined building signage is key to creating a good, lasting effect and helping people navigate your location.

Here are four signs that your business should have:

Lobby Signs

Lobby signs are a way to tell newcomers who you are. These usually include your messaging, logo, brand colors, etc. Since they’re the first items that someone sees as a new employee or visitor, they help convey your branding and the image you want to reflect to the public. Acrylic signs or wall decals work well for lobby signage.

Wayfinding

Someone who’s never been to your office or retail location might not know where all the individual company locations, bathrooms, meeting rooms, product areas, etc. are. Wayfinding signs help people easily navigate around your property. Besides instructions or arrows, these can also incorporate your logo and colors for more branding opportunities. They can be located nearly anywhere, but should be in hallways, entranceways, lobbies, and more to make them more visible.

Informational

Informational signs can be like wayfinding signs as they can also provide directions. But they additionally can be used by businesses to provide information about open hours, maps, rules, caution signs, instructions, and more. You can even invest in temporary signs that provide real-time information to visitors and employees. For example, you may want to advertise upcoming events or closures. These can be placed throughout a location and can also be branded.

Safety

This will depend on your industry. But if you work with hazardous materials, for example, you’ll need warning signs to alert people to possible dangers. These should be placed in the entrances of the location where dangers are present as well as inside the location. You may also want to have an A frame sign that can be taken out if floors are wet or placed where something has been damaged.
