This year’s Dscoop8 attendees will have an opportunity to “eavesdrop” on how a printer that is evolving into a marketing services provider is selling new services. Allegra Network’s Chairman Carl Gerhardt and Marketing/Print Division President Bob Milroy will share a presentation their franchise members are using to drive sales for new direct marketing services. “Hot Trends in Marketing Technology” covers QR codes, text messaging, PURLs, and social media services, as well as the development of cross-channel, direct mail-based campaigns. As part of the presentation, the two will facilitate an interactive role-playing session to uncover some of the questions customers are likely to bring to the table, and will share some of the sales results their franchisees are experiencing as they use this consultative selling technique.
“Making the transition to a full service marketing services shop has been a solid growth strategy for us,” says Milroy. “Businesses need this one-stop solution to marketing services, and our franchise members are well-positioned to fill that need.”
With the recent industry changes come challenges for the traditional printing shop model, including the challenge to embrace new marketing technology. This presentation is aimed at print industry professionals who are making that leap into a full service approach, and becoming consultative selling partners for their customers. Dscoop8 is being held in Nashville, February 21-23. Keynote speakers for the event include business motivation speaker Mark King of TaylorMade and entrepreneur and The New York Times best-selling author Gary Vaynerchuk.
